Five domestic telecommunications companies have launched 5G Home WiFi services, allowing people without fiber coverage to enjoy the convenience of home WiFi.
The so-called 5G Home WiFi means that users only need to put the SIM card into the Router, then plug it in and it can be used immediately. The advantage of 5G Home WiFi is that it does not require cable installation and can be used anytime and anywhere.
1.CelcomDigi
CelcomDigi has launched 2 5G Home WiFi. The SIM-only plan is RM99 per month (no contract required), while the plan with free Router is RM149 per month (24-month contract required). Both 5G Home WiFi provide unlimited 5G and 4G Internet data. Monthly FUP is 1000GB.
2.Yes
The Yes Wireless Fiber 5G plan provides unlimited 5G Internet data, while 4G Internet data is limited to RM150 per month. This package requires a 24-month contract. The monthly fee is RM99 for the first 6 months, and RM148 per month thereafter. This plan comes with free 5G WiFi 6 Router.
3. U Mobile
U Mobile’s U Home 5G costs RM68 per month and provides unlimited use of 5G and 4G Internet data. There is no free Router and no contract is required. Monthly FUP is 1,000GB.
4.Unifi
unifi has launched a total of 3 unifi Air plans, 2 plans only support 4G network, and 1 plan supports 5G network. Unifi Air 4G LTE SIM Only provides 4G network up to 20Mbps with a monthly fee of RM79. Unifi Air 4G SIM+Device provides 4G network up to 20Mbps, comes with a free 4G Router, requires a 24-month contract, and the monthly fee is RM79. The monthly fee for unifi Air 5G SIM+Device is RM149, and you can get a WiFi 6 Router for free and a 24-month contract is required.
5.Maxis
Maxis has 2 Home WiFi plans. Maxis Home WiFi 138 only supports 4G network. It does not include a router and does not require a contract. The monthly fee is RM138 and the monthly FUP is 300GB. Maxis Home WiFi 158 supports 4G and 5G networks and includes a 5G Router. No contract is required. The monthly fee is RM158 and the monthly FUP is 500GB.
