EVERYONE enjoys a good hit song. Adding music to your routine enhances it to a whole new level, whether you’re driving down the motorway, doing makeup or taking on household chores. According to research, listening to music may even cause your skin to literally glow. Can some of your favourite songs therefore do wonders for your skin?

It is indeed a fact. Certain songs can make your skin glow.

Relaxing music can reduce blood pressure and slow your heart rate. Experts claim that this calming reaction can have a significant effect on your skin.Experts from the Beauty Pie brand looked into songs that might be good for our skin. They looked through 1.4 million Spotify tracks, concentrating on playlists that contained terms like “wellness,” “skincare,” and “calm.”

What you get is a list of the top 25 songs that are deemed to be “most relaxing” to listen to while performing your skincare routine.

The University of Sheffield’s Dr. Michael Bonsho, who holds a PHD and an MA in Music Psychology, claims that hip-hop is actually the most calming musical genre.

This is due to the fact that the majority of hip-hop songs feature a cyclical beat, an 80 bpm tempo, and repeating melodies and lyrics. It’s easier to enjoy because of this.

The scientific explanation for this is that dopamine, a neurotransmitter linked to pleasure and reward, is released by your brain when you listen to music you like. lowering cortisol levels concurrently—a stress hormone linked to skin issues like rosacea and breakouts.
