The Employees Provident Fund (EPF) has announced the dividend payout ratio for 2021 last year, which is 6.10% for the conventional savings account (Simpanan Konvensional) and 5.65% for the Islamic savings account (Simpanan Shariah).
However, the member’s EPF account has not been updated yet, so the interest earned cannot be seen so far. The provident fund account has not been updated since December 31, 2021.
According to the EPF, the accounts will not be renewed until March 6, 2022. As a result, members will be able to log into their EPF i-Akaun from March 6, 2022, to see how much interest they have earned, as well as their savings for January and February.
What is EPF i-Akaun?
EPF members are encouraged to open an EPF online account which is EPF i-Akaun, through which you can check your EPF account, see if your employer has contributed to your EPF, and check the status of your EPF beneficiaries. In addition, through this EPF i-Akaun, you can apply for withdrawal online, which can be used to pay housing loans and so on.
