Two years ago, Umi Amira Mohd Dahalan, a young mother of one, received a lymphoma cancer diagnosis. “I never imagined that cancer would strike me. I observed glands growing on my neck and chest after it began as merely a constant fever,” the woman remarked. Ummi Amira, a 24-year-old homemaker with a kid aged five, stated, “I was diagnosed with lymphoma cancer and underwent chemotherapy treatment at Hospital Sultanah Bahiyah in Alor Setar.” “I started feeling down because I thought I was going to pass away.” However, her 28-year-old husband Mohd Najmi Rosli became her rock. She was inspired to attempt every treatment with his help. Ummi Amira felt she had to endure despite the steep medical costs because her husband works as a factory worker and makes RM1,500 each month. “Though it is difficult right now for us, I know I must continue to support my family.” My daughter still needs me, and my husband does not want me to give up,” the woman remarked. “I am now trying to get as much support and money as I can. “I don’t want to be like my late mother, who was carefree about her illness and passed away from breast cancer last year.” Her advice to everyone is to never ignore any bumps you feel on your body. At the age of thirty-two, administrative executive Linda (not her real name) received a cancer diagnosis that put her resilience to the test at a time when she should have been happily married and a mother of small children. After several bleeding episodes, stage four cervical cancer was discovered in her. Subsequent examinations indicated that cancer had progressed to her colon and bladder. “I felt depressed after learning of the confirmation. However, my spouse provided me courage, so I began reading up on therapies, reviews, diet, and other topics,” the woman remarked. The now 35-year-old Linda had six rounds of chemotherapy and 36 rounds of radiation treatment. She had therapy for two years, and she is now cancer-free. “Cancer may strike anyone these days. Please be examined if you feel that something is wrong with your body. Being self-aware is crucial. Mental acuity is crucial for cancer patients because, despite being unable to walk following treatment, I persisted in pushing myself. She remarked, “Right now, I’m trying to increase my immunity, so I watch what I eat.” Linda has recovered, but she is now going through an early menopause. You have no choice but to continue, so you must have mental toughness. “I am appreciative that my spouse has been my strongest ally during this journey,” she remarked.
