Jabatan Insolvensi Malaysia (JIM) has launched an online system (e-Insolvensi) for the public to check the information of bankrupt persons.
Through the e-Insolvensi system, people can check not only the bankruptcy status of individuals, but also the bankruptcy records of companies, monthly instalments of bankrupt persons, etc.
For those who are using the online system for the first time, you need to register an account first. First you can visit https://e-insolvensi.mdi.gov.my/ and click on Daftar Baru. Then you need to fill in the relevant information such as name, email, address, login password, etc.
After registering, you will be able to access the online system of the Poverty Reporting Bureau to check the bankruptcy information, which will also allow bankrupts to check their instalment records, etc.
To view individual bankruptcy records, you will need to enter the person’s name and ID number. When you check the bankruptcy record of a company, you need to enter the company’s annual salary and company registration number.
