JPJ changes its business hours during Ramadan!
The operating hours of the counters will be changed during the Ramadan month, according to information released by the JPJ. You should pay extra attention if you plan to visit JPJ soon to update your driver’s licence, pay your road tax, purchase licence plate numbers, or verify car details.
During Ramadan, all JPJ branches are open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. On Thursdays, JPJ branches in Johor, Kedah, Terengganu, and Kelantan are open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The JPJ counter at UTC is open from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. UTC in West Malaysia will be closed from 12:14 noon to 2:45 pm every day, and UTC in East Malaysia will be closed for 2 hours and 30 minutes at noon. Sarawak UTC has a lunch break from 11.45 a.m. until 2.15 p.m. Lunch is served from 11.30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Sabah UTC.
By the end of the year, JPJ hopes to have 100 Kiosks kiosks at various locations across the country. Kiosks will cut the amount of time people have to wait at the JPJ desk. Kiosks will be set up at appropriate areas, such as government buildings, public transportation stations (LRT or MRT), and so on.
JPJ Kiosks can provide dew renewal and printing services, as well as printing services for vehicle ownership certificates (VOCs) and paying traffic tickets. Kiosks can also be used to look up information about auto insurance, cars, and driver’s licences, among other things.
Many JPJ Kiosks have malfunctioned and are unable to be utilised, according to user comments. JPJ was encouraged by the public to ensure that the Kiosks that were launched could be utilised routinely.
