Heavy vehicles are entering the city during peak hours, according to a statement issued by the JPJ, resulting in worsened traffic problems in the Klang Valley’s urban regions. Heavy vehicles were prohibited from entering the city during peak hours, according to the JPJ.
Between the hours of 6.30 a.m. and 9.30 a.m., and between the hours of 4.30 p.m. and 7.30 p.m., heavy vehicles with a BDM of more than 7,500 kg are prohibited from driving on urban roads.
Any heavy truck driver or operator who breaks the rule will be fined up to RM300 and could face penalty of up to RM2,000 in court.
During rush hour, big vehicles are not permitted to enter certain roadways, according to JPJ.
