KUALA LUMPUR: Plus Malaysia Bhd has identified the source of long waits at two radio-frequency identification (RFID) lanes depicted in a viral photo that circulated on social media platforms on Monday.
It was discovered that there were several instances of drivers with inadequate balance attempting to refill their Touch ‘n Go e-wallet at the RFID lanes between the hours of 8 a.m. and 8.59 a.m.
“We apologise for the inconvenience caused and will help guide customers to park their vehicles at a safe location away from traffic in front of the RFID lane to conduct their e-Wallet reload.
“Both the public and our staff are urged to adhere to the standard operating procedures (SOP) when interacting to ensure safety and health for all involved #KitaJagaKita.
“For a smoother journey experience, RFID highway customers are reminded to always check one’s Touch ‘n Go e-wallet or the Touch ‘n Go card balance beforehand and ensure it is sufficient for one’s journey travel,” it said in a statement today.
Touch ‘n Go provides three payment alternatives, namely RFID, Touch n’ Go card, and SmartTAG, for the ease and comfort of one’s highway ride.
