The driver who failed to yield to an ambulance is condemned by Dr. Noor Hisham.
Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah, the director-general of health, voiced his displeasure with a driver who was caught on camera stopping an ambulance with its siren blaring and forcing it to overtake illegally.
Dr. Noor Hisham expressed his displeasure with the behaviour by sharing a 38-second video from the “DashCam Owners Malaysia” Facebook group, which revealed a white Honda CRV refusing to yield.
Even if the ambulance siren has been blasting behind him for a long time, according to Noor Hisham, there are still selfish drivers who refuse to give way to ambulances.
It is within Dr Noor Hisham’s jurisdiction to ensure enforcement, according to Facebook user Chan Siew Peng.
Dr. Noor Hisham said that as a doctor, he is always in charge of life and death, but that enforcement falls under police jurisdiction in this situation, and that he is only distributing the footage for educational purposes.
This is how Noor Hisham responded to Chan on Facebook:
As for this case, law enforcement is one thing, but education is another, thus I reposted it in order to raise public awareness and education. Please assist us in saving lives.
