Dongfang Daily reports that a picture of a Proton Saga Double Park has recently been making the rounds on social media. A series of first unremarkable images sparked intense debates on the internet because of the items in the car.
Not a contact phone number, but a vest jacket with the word “Polis” printed on it could be found in the car that had already caused a traffic jam. This immediately led internet users to believe that the police officer might actually be breaking the law. These images were first shared on Facebook, and after that, Twitter users uploaded screenshots of them, sparking an instant debate.
The event was answered by the director of the Ipoh Police District, who released a statement saying that the incident took place on Barash Road next to the Sultan Abdul Aziz Recreation Park (Polo Ground) in Ipoh and that the police discovered the photo and began an investigation.
To avoid influencing the police investigation, the police encourage the public not to randomly guess the post’s content.
