When they were preparing to catch a flight to Brussels, Belgium, a couple refused to purchase a separate ticket for the baby and left the child at the check-in counter. The shocking incident took place at Ben Gurion Airport.
When Ryanair officials asked the parents to purchase tickets for the baby at the counter, they refused to do so and left the baby on the check-in desk. According to the report, the employees informed the couple that the baby would not be allowed to fly without a separate ticket. In order to go to the security terminal, the couple just left the baby and stroller behind the check-in desk.
Ryanair’s service desk manager said: “The entire staff was very shocked. It’s unlike anything we’ve ever seen. We just stopped there in shock at what we saw.”
Ryanair stated that passengers traveling with young children could either pay about 25 pounds (about RM131) for a lap seat or pay the usual adult cost for the child’s individual seats.
“A police report was made, and a ground duty manager brought the couple and their baby back to the flight counter.” Now, the couple is getting caught by the police.
