Domestic telecommunications companies will open pre-orders for the iPhone 15 series of mobile phones at 12 a.m. on September 22.

Apple’s new generation mobile phone iPhone 15 series will be available for pre-order on September 22, 2023, and will be officially released on September 29. Various domestic telecommunications companies have launched subscription packages for iPhone 15 series mobile phones.

The newly released iPhone 15 Pro Max starts from RM6499, while the iPhone 15 Pro starts from RM5499. iPhone 15 Plus starts from RM4899, iPhone 15 starts from RM4399.

Many people cannot pay the full amount at once to buy a mobile phone, so they choose to sign a contract with a telecommunications company to buy a mobile phone. So is this approach worth it?

Let’s talk about the conclusion first. If you have already signed up for an Internet package, then it is very worthwhile for you to continue to sign up for an Internet package and buy a mobile phone at the same price. If you choose to upgrade your internet plan just to buy a new phone, it’s not worth it.

For example, if you usually only use an Internet plan with a monthly fee of RM50, but now you choose to upgrade to an Internet plan with a monthly fee of RM128 in order to buy a new iPhone, this approach is very unwise.

However, there is a special situation that needs to be considered here, that is, if the RM50 Internet plan only provides 30GB of Internet data, this data is not enough for you. You originally planned to upgrade to the RM128 plan to enjoy unlimited Internet data. In this case, it’s worth signing up for the phone.

If you upgrade an Internet data plan that you don’t need in order to buy a mobile phone, then in the long run, the price of the mobile phone you buy will be higher than what is sold on the market.
