In fact, apart from Maybank and Hong Leong Bank, RHB and CIMB have also launched a similar feature.

The so-called APP pop-up authorization transaction is that when users use Internet Banking to transfer money or make transactions, the APP will pop up a pop-up window asking the user whether to authorize the transaction, the user only needs to click Approve or Reject. APP pop-up authorization transaction can replace SMS TAC.

There are 3 benefits of APP pop-up authorization transaction, that is, no need to wait for SMS, the transaction can be made even if the mobile network is poor, and it is more secure.

1. No need to wait for SMS

When users use Internet Banking to make transactions, they no longer have to wait for SMS TAC, which can speed up the transaction process. Sometimes the line is not good, or the telecommunication company’s system is not working, users can not receive SMS TAC, APP pop-up authorization transactions do not have this trouble, as long as your WiFi network is good, then you can definitely receive the verification pop-up.

2. You can transact even if your cell phone network is not good

In the past, when the telecommunication company had signal problems or no service, users could not receive SMS TAC, which also prevented them from making banking transactions.

3. More secure

If you often install apps from unknown sources, your SMS TAC may be intercepted, and APP pop-up authorization transaction can avoid the problem of SMS TAC interception.
