So, do you really how much water do you need to drink in a day? Read on!

The amount of water each person should consume varies, depending on their level of health, activity level, age and climate. The recommended intake is usually the person’s body weight (kg) x 30ml, e.g. 60kg x 30ml = 1800ml, so you must drink the full 1800ml of water a day.

Does drinking too much coffee, juice, cola and beer mean that you don’t need to drink water?
Our bodies still need to be well hydrated. Drinks such as caffeinated coffee, tea and cola have a diuretic effect and drinking too much can lead to dehydration. Alcoholic beverages such as beer also have a diuretic effect, so they should not be consumed instead of water.
