In life, it is inevitable that there will be collisions and bruises. Sometimes, you don’t even know when you hit, and you only find bruises when taking a shower. It’s not because the skin is tender and the bomb is broken, but it’s probably a warning from the body!

Why is it bruised?

Bruising refers to the reaction that the blood vessels on the skin surface that are slightly damaged. If these blood vessels are damaged, a small amount of blood will seep out, resulting in typical blue-green and purple discolouration blocks. However, if a person is prone to bruise, or if he doesn’t know the reason at all, there will be skin bruise, which is probably caused by five reasons.

Five reasons for easy bruising:

Lack of vitamins.
Vitamin B12, C, K, all have the function of helping blood coagulation. If there is insufficient nutrition intake or insufficient vitamin B12 intake due to vegetarianism, it is easy to cause severe bruising due to slight bruise. You can eat more fruits and vegetables, such as dates, guava, chicken, eggs, green vegetables, etc., to supplement vitamin c, B12 and k.

Take specific drugs.
Some drugs contain anticoagulant components, such as analgesics, cardiopathy drugs, aspirin, etc., which are easy to cause subcutaneous hemorrhage, while healthy foods such as ginkgo, fish oil and ginseng, etc., which can improve blood circulation, will have side effects with poor coagulation function.
It’s more bruised.

Drinking and staying up late.
Alcohol will temporarily relax and expand blood vessels. If you are drunk, it is easy to bruise due to falling and collision. However, staying up late often will affect liver function and the production of coagulation factors. As long as there is a slight collision, bruises will appear.

Ageing and gender differences.
With the increase of age, the skin will become thinner and thinner, and the blood vessels will lose their elasticity, while the fat and collagen will be gradually lost, which will easily lead to unknown bruises in the elderly. According to clinical research, estrogen in women is like a vasodilator, which can easily cause bruises after the collision.

Serious diseases.
Generally, the bruise can be relieved in two or three days, but for patients with diabetes, it is likely that the skin will not heal quickly because of hyperglycemia. It is easy to produce bruises, and other diseases such as acute leukaemia, purple spot, uremia, haemophilia, etc., may all have inexplicable bruises. If there are a lot of bruises on the body, it is best to go to the hospital for testing, so as not to delay the treatment time of the disease.

Always bruise, beware of a purple spot!

If you often have bruises, increased menstrual bleeding, bleeding gums, running around the toilet and other symptoms, this may be a warning sign of purple spots. Because of abnormal internal bleeding, patients with purple spots may have symptoms of purple spots and easy bruising. According to Zhou Wenjian, chairman of the Society of Hematology of the Republic of China, the purple spot is a disease that “suddenly breaks into life” and easily disrupts the rhythm of life. The normal platelet value is between 150,000 and 400,000 /ul, while in severe cases, it may be lower than 20,000 /ul in patients with purple spots, which may lead to fatal cerebral haemorrhage.

If it’s just a common bruise, as long as you follow the dermatologist’s four steps of “ice, medicine, heat and medicine”, most of them can make the bruise disappear!

Ice compress: Remember to apply ice immediately, which can help the microvascular contraction calm and slow down inflammation.

Apply ointment: After applying ice, you can apply ointment on the affected part. When applying for the medicine, you should pay attention to avoid rubbing hard. Apply it lightly 2-3 times a day, and let the medicine penetrate into the skin.

Hot compress: Hot compress can only be started when the bruise is dark red and purple, and hot compress can help the blood clot with blood, which will gradually turn the original reddish-purple of the bruise into green and yellow.

See a doctor: If you don’t see the bruise subside for a long time, or if you still see lumps under your skin, you should seek medical attention immediately.

How about boiled eggs? Does the “fresh” bruise rub away quickly?

Usually, everyone uses boiled eggs to eliminate blood stasis in order to speed up the elimination time. However, using a hot compress within the first three days of the occurrence of blood stasis will make the blood flow more active, but it will make the blood stasis bigger. Other remedies, such as rubbing the blood stasis hard and bleeding locally, are also wrong ways. Please stop using these tricks!
