MCO will be extended in Selangor, KL, Penang and Johor till March 4th whereas CMCO will be implemented for other states starting on 18th February. Let’s have a understanding between the differences of MCO and CMCO, on what is allowed to do!
1. Number of travelers per car
MCO areas are still limited to 2 pax per car, while the number of travelers at CMCO areas will be determined based of the capacity of the cars. For example, a 7-seater car can travel with 7 people, and a 5-seater car can travel with 5 people.
2. The number of people per table in a restaurant
For MCO areas, each table only allowed 2 people to dine at the same table. As for the restaurant in the CMCO area, the number of people dining at the same table can be determined based on the size of the table. However, each person must maintain a distance of at least one meter from others.
3. Banquet/ Event
MCO areas are not allowed to hold any banquet or event that lead to mass gatherings. As for CMCO areas, banquets are allowed to be held, such as weddings, birthday parties, anniversaries, etc., with a strict SOP.
4. Stores’ business hour
The stores’ business hour in the MCO areas can only be opened until 10pm, whereas in CMCO areas can be opened until 12am.
Note: more detailed SOPs will be announced in the next few days, please stay alert. Information will be subjected to the latest government announcement.
