Diesel, RON95, and RON97 retail prices remain unchanged.
From May 5 to May 11, the retail pricing of diesel, RON95, and RON97 petrol will stay unchanged at RM2.15, RM2.05, and RM3.94 per litre, respectively.
The prices were set based on weekly retail pricing of petroleum products using the Automated Pricing Mechanism formula, according to a statement released today by the Ministry of Finance (MoF).
Even though market prices for both products have climbed beyond the current ceiling pricing, the government has kept the retail price of RON95 petrol at RM2.05 per litre and diesel at RM2.15 per litre to shield customers from global oil price hikes.
The Ministry of Finance further stated that the government would continue to monitor global crude oil price patterns and take appropriate actions to safeguard the people’s sustained welfare and well-being.
