The Perodua Alza and Toyota Veloz are twin cars with a price difference of about RM20,000.
The Perodua Alza opened for pre-orders on June 23 and was officially launched on July 20. The Toyota Veloz was also available for pre-order on June 24, but has not yet been officially launched.
The Perodua Alza is available in 3 trims, namely 1.5X, 1.5H and 1.5AV, priced at RM62,500 for 1.5X, RM68,000 for 1.5H and RM75,500 for 1.5AV respectively, while the Toyota Veloz is available in 1 trim only, priced at approximately RM95,000.
Both the Perodua Alza and Toyota Veloz are powered by a 1.5L Dual VVT-i four-cylinder natural gas engine and CVT transmission, both with a power performance of about 106PS and 137Nm of maximum torque.
