The epidemic in Malaysia has broken the 1,000 mark for five consecutive days since November 2, making many people worried. After the number of epidemics has been rising, Senior Minister of Defense Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri announced at 4pm briefings today that the government will implement Conditional Movement Control Orders (CMCO) from November 9 to December 6.
The states involved include: Kedah, Penang, Perak, Negeri Sembilan, Malacca, Johor and Terengganu. Conditional Movement Control Orders in areas affected by the epidemic in Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya, Selangor, Labuan and Sabah have also been extended.
There are only three states in West Malaysia that do not require Conditional Movement Control Orders (CMCO): Perlis, Pahang and Kelantan. As for whether Sarawak will implement a control order, the relevant departments will discuss next Monday.
He also pointed out that the Ministry of Health is based on the upward trend of confirmed cases in these states. Therefore, the Ministry of Health recommends that a Conditional Movement Control Orders should be implemented to block the chain of virus transmission.
The Conditional Control Orders SOP of these states is the same, that is: it cannot be cross-state or county, unless there is an emergency, the police can obtain exception approval. Schools, entertainment centers, social and cultural activities are all closed. In addition, only two people can go out to buy necessities; restaurants and eateries are still open, but only two people can be at the same table. The morning market, night market, market and petrol station are open at specific times.
