Everyone must wear masks and disposable gloves when cleaning clothes. The Ministry of Health recommends that you soak your clothes in hot water (60-90℃).
The most important thing is to use laundry detergent which can kill bacteria and viruses.
Detailed steps for cleaning patients’ clothes.
Step 1: Put the patient’s clothes in a sealed bag or container, and do not take them out until the clothes are to be cleaned.
Step 2: Don’t put the clothes of patients and their families together.
Step 3: Always wear masks and disposable gloves when cleaning the clothes of patients.
Step 4: Do not shake the patient’s clothes when taking them, so as to prevent the virus on the clothes from spreading into the air.
Step 5: Wash the patient’s clothes with clear water and laundry detergent.
Step 6: It is recommended to use hot water to clean the clothes of patients. The temperature of hot water can be between 60℃ and 90℃.
Step 7: After cleaning clothes, discard disposable gloves and use disinfectant to clean hands.
Step 8: Expose the patient’s clothes in the sun.
Step 9: Wash your hands.
