CIMB has started a fixed deposit offer, and you can choose to deposit for 3 months, 6 months, or 12 months.
CIMB’s latest fixed deposit is eFRIA-i. This fixed deposit can be deposited through CIMBClicks, and the minimum deposit is only RM5,000.
You can enjoy 2.10% p.a. for 3 months, 2.20% p.a. for 6 months, and 2.30% p.a. for 12 months. Users who want to deposit can log in to the web version of CIMBClicks, and then click on the eFRIA banner on the homepage to deposit this fixed deposit offer. It can only be stored through the web version, not through the CIMB Clicks APP.
Here is an example of storing RM10,000 for 3 months. After storing for 3 months, you can get RM52.50 in interest.
The interest rates of time deposits are really low now, but if you don’t want to invest or don’t want to take the risk of investing, time deposits may be the best choice.
