CIMB Clicks users are urged to remove the registration of a second device or a non-active device from the CIMB Clicks APP.
According to a message from CIMB, users must remove the registration of the second device or the registration of the inactive device by March 2023. If the user fails to remove the device by the deadline, the system will automatically remove the device after March next year.
In order to strengthen the security of Internet banking, CIMB will implement the measure of one account, one device, that is, users can only register and use SecureTAC authentication transaction function in one device. If users register and use SecureTAC in the new device, then they need to remove the registration of the old device first.
For new CIMB Clicks APP users, the one-account-one-device measure will be effective from the end of October 2022. As for existing CIMB Clicks APP users, they must de-register their second device by March 2023.
To remove a second device from the CIMB Clicks APP, you can open the CIMB Clicks APP and go to Settings, then find Other Registered Device, then find the inactive device and swipe the device name to the left to remove the device.
