Are you planning to go oversea? It is advisable to check if you have been blacklisted by the Malaysian Immigration Department before you leave the country. If you are in arrears with your personal income tax, corporate tax, bankruptcy, etc., you may be barred from leaving the country by the Malaysian Immigration Department.
To find out if you have been blacklisted, you can visit the Immigration Department’s website at https://sspi.imi.gov.my/SSPI/. Then enter your ID number in the Nombor Kad Pengenalan section and click on Semak.
If the system shows Tiada Halangan, then you are not blacklisted and you are free to leave the country. Conversely, if you are restricted from leaving the country, then the system will ask you to go to the nearest Malaysian immigration office to obtain the details.
