20/11/2021

Both Celcom and Maxis are offering home wireless broadband internet packages for a maximum of RM139 per month!

I believe many people have encountered the need to install fiber optic networks in their homes, but either there is no coverage or the port is already full. Celcom and Maxis have launched a home wireless broadband network.

The so-called home wireless broadband network is that the user only needs to put the Sim card into the Modem, and then can turn on the WiFi to use it, which is simply called Plug & Play.

1. Celcom Home Wireless

Celcom offers 2 packages, namely Family Lite and Family Ultimate, where you can get a Sim card and a Modem.

The monthly fee for Family Lite is RM100 and you get 100GB of data per month, the speed will be slowed down to 512Kbps after 100GB of data is consumed, and you need to sign up for 12 months.

Family Ultimate costs RM139 per month and offers 300GB of data per month. After 300GB of data is used, the speed will slow down until the next month’s renewal. This package requires an 18-month contract.

If you don’t have enough data, you can also purchase additional data such as 50GB per day – RM10, 20GB per month – RM40, 40GB per month – RM70.

2. Maxis Home 4G WiFi

Maxis has only one home WiFi package to choose from, which is RM138 per month. The data of this package is also only 300GB, once the 300GB is used up then the quality of video playback will be reduced during peak hours.

You can choose to sign up or not to sign up. If you choose not to sign up, then the monthly fee is RM138 and if you choose to sign up for 12 months, then you can get Home 4G WiFi Router for an additional RM1.00.
