The Malaysian Stock Exchange updated its PN17 and GN3 lists on January 6, with a total of 27 companies listed.
Before choosing to buy shares of a company, it is best to avoid buying companies listed in PN17 and GN3. The companies listed in PN17 and GN3 are all public companies with problems.
PN17 stands for Practice Note 17/2005, and GN3 stands for Guidance Note 3. Main Market companies that are in financial difficulty or have violated certain rules are included in PN17, while ACE Market companies that are in financial difficulty or have violated certain rules are included in GN3.
The Malaysian Stock Exchange specifies that companies that violate certain rules and regulations will be classified as PN17 or GN3 companies.
1. The total equity of the company (Total Equity) is less than RM40 million and less than 25% of the issued share capital of the company (Share Capital).
2. more than 50% of the total assets of the company will be taken over by someone other than the company, or wound up.
3. the auditor has an Adverse Opinion or a Disclaimer Opinion on the company’s accounts;
4. the company is unable to pay its debts.
5. the company has no core business
