The traditional gold dinar coin weighs 4.25 grams or 0.137 troy ounce. The concept of the gold dinar was proposed in modern Islamic finance with the aim of creating a gold-based monetary system that is compliant with Shariah regulations.

According to the information on the official website of Bursa Gold Dinar, when people transfer money to their investment accounts, they will be charged a handling fee of 0.35% or a minimum of RM0.10 and a maximum of RM1.00. Withdrawals from investment accounts also require a handling fee of RM0.15.
There is a 0.20% handling fee when buying and selling gold, and the annual management fee is 0.50%. People who register an account need to pay a registration fee of RM5.00.
If people want to convert into physical gold coins, they need to pay a courier fee of RM10, minting into gold coins requires a fee of RM73.40, and mailing requires an insurance fee of RM13.00.
People need to pay a 0.20% transfer fee when transferring gold to relatives and friends, but there is no transfer fee for gold worth less than RM200.
