Bursa Malaysia launches Bursa Gold Dinar APP for online gold trading
Bursa Malaysia has announced the launch of the ‘Bursa Gold Dinar’ APP which allows online gold trading and physical gold exchange.
According to Bursa Malaysia, the newly launched Bursa Gold Dinar APP will enable the public to invest and buy, and sell gold at a lower cost.
People can invest in gold with a minimum of RM10 and can also sell their gold when they need the money. People who wish to collect physical gold can also convert their digital gold (paper gold) into physical gold coins, which will be mailed to them.
According to the official website of Bursa Gold Dinar, a fee of 0.35% or a minimum of RM0.10 and a maximum of RM1.00 will be charged when one transfers funds into an investment account. Withdrawals from the investment account are also subject to a fee of RM0.15.
A handling fee of 0.20% will be charged for buying and selling gold and an annual management fee of 0.50% will be charged. Citizens are required to pay a registration fee of RM5.00 to register an account.
If people want to convert into physical gold coins, they need to pay RM10 for courier fee, RM73.40 for minting gold coins and RM13.00 for insurance fee for mailing.
People need to pay 0.20% transfer fee when transferring gold to friends and relatives, while gold below RM200 is not subject to transfer fee.
The Bursa Gold Dinar APP is currently available for iOS and will be available for Android shortly.
