BPR beneficiaries need to collect their RM50 Voucher before 31 December, otherwise the voucher will automatically expire!

PTV is a micro-insurance scheme introduced by the government to provide insurance coverage to the low-income group of B40. The full name of PTV scheme is Perlindungan Tenang Voucher, and all BPR beneficiaries are entitled to receive RM50 worth of PTV.

If you are a BPR beneficiary, you can visit http://www.myptv.my/ before December 31 to check if you are eligible for the RM50 Voucher. Once you enter your ID number, the system will show you if you are eligible. If you are eligible, you will immediately receive a series number Voucher to purchase microinsurance from BPR partner insurance companies.

Today, there are many insurance companies that offer micro-insurance plans such as accidental compensation or permanent disability compensation or hospitalization benefits for a premium of RM50 per year. Microinsurance plans vary from insurer to insurer, so people can check for themselves what plans are offered by each insurer.

A total of 888,000 BPR beneficiaries have successfully redeemed their Vouchers, totaling over RM44 million. The government will increase the voucher to RM75 from 2022 onwards.

Here’s how to get the RM50 PTV Voucher and how to purchase microinsurance.
Step 1: Visit https://myptv.my/ and enter your ID number.
Step 2: Check the boxes for Privacy Statement and I am not a robot.
Step 3: Click Search.
Step 4: If you are eligible, the system will show that you are eligible for Perlindungan Tenang Voucher (Voucher number: XXXXXXXX).
Step 5: If you are not eligible, the system will show that we are sorry, you are not eligible for Perlindungan Tenang Voucher.
Step 6: You can browse https://www.mycoverage.my/ and select the microinsurance package you want to purchase.
Step 7: Simply enter the Perlindungan Tenang Voucher number at checkout.
