Booster doses were provided to 64.2 percent of Malaysia’s adult population.

As of yesterday, 15,113,923 people, or 64.2 percent of the adult population in the country, have gotten the Covid-19 booster dose.

According to the CovidNow website, 22,930,441 people (or 97.5%) have finished their immunisation, while 23,207,220 people (or 98.7%) have gotten at least one dose of the vaccine.

Under the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme for Children, a total of 1,060,063 children aged five to eleven have received their first dose of Covid-19 vaccine, accounting for 29.9% of the group (PICKids).

In the group of adolescents aged 12 to 17, 2,832,919 people, or 91 percent, have finished their immunisation, while 2,933,324 people, or 94.2 percent, have gotten at least one dose of the vaccine.

A total of 68,624 vaccine doses were given out yesterday, with 19,511 being first doses, 1,835 being second doses, and 47,278 being booster doses, bringing the total vaccine doses given out under the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme (PICK) to 67,869,343.

Meanwhile, according to the Health Ministry’s GitHub page, 79 people died as a result of Covid-19 yesterday, with Johor having the most cases (16), followed by Kedah and Perak, each with 13 cases.

Selangor had 11 cases, Pahang and Sabah each had five, Kelantan had four, Melaka had three, Penang, Sarawak, Kuala Lumpur, and Putrajaya each had two, and Negri Sembilan had one.
