Boost e-wallet launches Beyond Card, which will be open for applications in phases starting from October 9.
According to information from Boost e-Wallet, Beyond Card is a prepaid card launched by Boost e-Wallet, and will be the first two-in-one prepaid card in Malaysia that supports payment using e-wallet balance or PayLater credit limit.
Boost is a financial product of Axiata, and Axiata holds equity in CelcomDigi, so Boost is a sister company of CelcomDigi. Celcom users will be the first to apply for Beyond Card, and Digi users will be eligible to apply one after another.
Boost Beyond Card is a prepaid card, and users can choose a virtual card or get a physical card. The virtual card can only be used online, while the physical card can be used online and offline. However, the physical card requires an application fee of RM20.
Cardholders can choose to have the money deducted from their Boost e-wallet balance, or use PayLater to buy now, pay later. The so-called PayLater buy now, pay later means that users swipe their cards to make purchases first, and then receive the bill at the end of the month, and the user then pays the bill. Cardholders can enjoy installment payments of up to 3 months when using the PayLater service.
Qualified people can open the Boost APP, click on the Beyond Card icon on the homepage, then fill in the information and submit the application. If the user requires a physical Beyond Card, Boost will be mailed to the user’s designated address within 5 to 7 working days.
