22/11/2023

Today, police officials reported that bomb threats were made against multiple international schools across the country.

As per the established security protocols, the international schools had to be evacuated even though the authorities suspect these to be hoaxes.

The threats were sent anonymously by email to Selangor and Kuala Lumpur schools, but it’s also possible that other threats were sent to schools in other states. Officials from the police department announced today that numerous international schools around the nation have received bomb threats.

Even though the authorities believe these to be hoaxes, the international schools had to be evacuated in accordance with established security protocols.

It’s possible that additional threats were sent to schools in other states, but the threats were sent anonymously by email to schools in Selangor and Kuala Lumpur.

Hussein later declared the threats to be false, claiming that the anonymous email’s claim that explosives had been discovered at the schools was untrue.“As stated, no buried explosives were discovered during the school investigations. “The email is a hoax designed to incite widespread anxiety among parents and school administrators.

He said in a statement, “We are guaranteeing the safety of the surrounding school areas.”

Hussein then counseled parents and school administrators to file a police report right away so that additional action could be taken and not to become alarmed if they received an anonymous bomb threat. In order to ascertain the genuine intent behind the phony emails, he added, a cooperative inquiry with the Malaysian Communication and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) will be carried out.

“Making sure students are always in a safe environment and that parents don’t need to worry about them is the top priority in any given situation.”
