BLACKPINK, a Korean girl group, is currently touring the globe. On the third and fourth, it was supposed to perform in Osaka, Japan. But yesterday, YG Entertainment urgently announced that member Jisoo had been identified as having the new crown virus.
Only 3 members will be scheduled to take part in these 2 concerts for the benefit of the artist and everyone’s health.
Jisoo suffered slight cold symptoms on May 30, according to the release from YG Entertainment, but the rapid test came back negative at that time. On June 1, however, the test came back positive, confirming the COVID-19 diagnosis. According to the agency, “Although Jisoo is eager to fulfill the long awaited promise with fans, considering the artist’s health and, more importantly, for the safety of everyone, he has to make a decision not to participate in the performance.”
As a result, only Jennie, Lisa, and Rosé will take the stage during the Osaka concert on the 3rd and 4th, according to YG Entertainment. Along with the late night emergency announcement, YG Entertainment also apologized and expressed regret for the incident in an effort to win the fans’ understanding.
