YG Entertainment, the company’s agency, is making a lot of money. The group’s contract with YG Entertainment is about to end in August. Everyone wants to know if the group will sign a new contract.

BLACKPINK has four members: Jisoo, Jennie, Korean-New Zealander Rosé, and Thai member Lisa. Culture Daily, a Korean newspaper, says that each BLACKPINK member will need at least 20 billion won (about 69 million Ringgit Malaysia) to renew their contract.

The company’s primary goal is to develop a new product that can be sold on the market.

The report said that the Thai member Lisa is very popular in China, Thailand, and other Southeast Asian countries. There are rumors that Chinese and Thai agencies will pay 100 billion won (about 344 million Ringgit Malaysia) to sign Lisa. Still, an industry insider said, “This is not a price YG Entertainment can pay.”

Also, YG Entertainment owns the trademark for the name “BLACKPINK,” so if the members don’t renew their contract with YG Entertainment, they won’t be able to use the BLACKPINK name when they go solo.

Culture Daily says that how much money YG Entertainment can give the members of BLACKPINK will determine how well the contract works.
