BKM will be open for application in January and will start to be distributed in March!
According to a message issued by the Ministry of Finance of Malaysia, Bantuan Keluarga Malaysia (BKM) will be open for applications from January 1 to January 31, 2022. The BKM will be issued in 4 stages, and the first stage will be issued in March.
If you are an existing BPR, BKC, or GKP recipient, you do not need to update the information if the information has not changed. Eligible persons will be included in the BKM list automatically.
If you have previously applied for BPR, BKC, or GKP aid, but your application was rejected, you will be included in the BKM consideration list automatically. The government will review the information you submitted previously, and qualified people will receive BKM automatically.
As for people who have changed their information or have never applied for BPR, BKC, and GKP assistance, you can apply from January 1, 2022, to January 31. The Ministry of Finance will announce the BKM application website in December.
The BKM aid is expected to benefit 9.6 million people, and the amount involved is RM8.2 billion.
*Single moms or dads in the family group will receive an additional RM500.
*Elderly people in the family group who need to support children can get an additional RM300.
