Because of the volume of prayers, police arrested a Malaysian for breaking down Surau’s gate.

According to Harian Metro and Astro AWANI, the incident took place at 9.25 p.m. on April 9 in Surau, the ground floor of a HDB building in Sungai Chua, according to Kajang police the officer Mohd Zaid Hassan, assistant commissioner.

He mentioned that a 46 year old Chinese guy who lived close to a HDB flat kicked down the prayer room’s door because he was angry that the loud prayers had disturbed his family and the people around the area. 

The police arrested the man in question and took him before the court after receiving the report. The suspect was released on bail on Monday (April 10), nevertheless, following the conclusion of the inquiry, and he did not ask the court for postponed custody.

According to Mohd Zaid Hassan, the police are currently looking into the case under Penal Code Section 295 (desecration of places of worship and intentional insult to religion).
