A female student at Tunku United Primary School in Perak was smacked on the head by the ceramic toilet tank when it unexpectedly detached. She escaped with minor injuries and was brought to Ipoh Hospital for evaluation and treatment.
Khairul Shahril Mohamed, Perak’s Executive Councillor for Education, Higher Education, Youth, and Sports, verified the incident on Tuesday (18th). According to a report on TV3’s “Buletin TV3,” the girl was confirmed to be uninjured after receiving medical assessment and treatment at the Sultan Azlan Shah Hospital in Bagan Serai and was freed on the same day to recover at home.
Khairul Shahril Mohamed expressed relief that the porcelain toilet tank had broken into multiple pieces but that the student had not been seriously injured. An X-ray scan confirmed that the girl suffered no significant injuries.
Following the event, Ulu Kinta assemblyman Mohamad Alafa and officials from the Ulu Kinta Public Works Department visited the school to assess the condition of the lavatory and to express their sympathies to the injured youngster.
