The Federal Territories Ministry has declared December 3 as a special holiday to celebrate the Kuala Lumpur City Football Team winning the 100th Malaysia Cup.
The special holiday was issued under Section 9(2) of the Public Holidays Act 1951 and is available to all government departments, while the private sector can voluntarily grant the holiday to their employees.
According to an announcement by the National Bank, banks in the Kuala Lumpur area will be open for business on December 3. The foreign exchange market, currency and over-the-counter bond markets will also be open for business as usual.
Bursa announced that it will be closed on December 3 and will not be open for trading on that day.
On November 30, Kuala Lumpur City Football Team defeated rival Johor JDT 2-0 in the Malaysia Cup final.
