Parents of children born in the years 2016 and 2017 should take note! Parents can enroll their children in standard one next year at the Ministry of Education Malaysia (KPM) from March 1 to April 30, 2022.
If a family member was born between January 2, 2016 and January 1, 2018, parents should remember to visit a nearby primary school before April 30 to complete registration processes for their child to begin standard one of primary school in 2023 or 2024.
All children born between January 2, 2016 and January 1, 2017 will start the first grade of primary school in 2023, according to Ministry of Education regulations. In 2024, children born between January 2, 2017 and January 1, 2018, will attend primary school in standard one.
The online system at https://public.moe.gov.my/ allows parents to enrol their children in standard one. Before enrolling their child in a basic programme, parents must first create an account.
Due to the present epidemic, all primary schools in China will restrict who is allowed to attend, therefore parents are urged not to take their children to the standard school to enrol them. Parents can use the online system to enrol their children in the first grade.
