According to the official website of CIMB, 12 branches will be closed in October and the last day of operation for these branches will be Friday, 14 October 2022.
The 12 CIMB branches to be closed are 3 in Kuala Lumpur, 5 in Selangor, 1 in Penang, 1 in Perak, 1 in Pahang and 1 in Sarawak. These branches will close early at 1pm on 14 October 2022, the last day of business.
In addition, the CIMB branch at TTDI Selangor will also close in December, with the last day of business for this branch being Friday 9 December 2022. The branch will close earlier on 9 December at 3pm.
With the popularity of internet banking, banks in the country have reduced the number of branches and people can conduct their banking transactions directly through Internet Banking or Self Service Machines.
