Attention CIMB users! CIMB will be introducing a number of new measures to enhance the safety of customers’ deposits.
According to CIMB, as quoted by the Malaysian News Agency, a number of measures will be introduced to enhance the security of users’ deposits, including a phone call from the bank when users register to use CIMB Clicks or CIMB OCTO APP on their new devices.
When a user logs into the CIMB Clicks account on a new device, CIMB staff will call the user to verify whether the user’s actions are his own. If it is found that the action is not taken by the user, the bank will take the necessary action.
The new measures have been effective since December 26, 2022. If you receive a call from the bank after logging into your CIMB account on your new device, you need not be concerned.
In addition, when a user transfers more than RM100 via CIMB Clicks, the user can only verify the transfer via SecureTAC. Users are urged to download and use CIMB Clicks APP for safer transfer.
