Astro announced that it will cooperate with TM to provide broadband services!

Astro and TM formally signed a cooperation agreement to provide a high-quality digital experience for Malaysians. Through the cooperation agreement, TM will provide Astro with a complete set of infrastructure and connectivity solutions, including Internet connection and high-speed broadband connection.

Astro will be able to use TM’s infrastructure to provide broadband services to users, without building its own infrastructure. It can help Astro to expand its coverage to the whole country.

Astro cooperated with Maxis and the Allo optical fibre network of TNB to launch a broadband pay-TV package, that is, users only need RM 99 when signing broadband service and pay-TV service. With the signing of a cooperation agreement between Astro and TM, it means that Astro will be able to provide customers with more flexible supporting facilities.

At present, Astro is undergoing a transformation, which is no longer limited to providing satellite TV services but begins to get involved in streaming media services, such as Disney +Hotstar and Netflix. Astro has also launched Astro Ultra Plug & Play service, which allows users to watch Astro programs through optical fibre broadband.
