ASNB has 3 worthy funds namely ASM, ASM 2 Wawasan and ASM 3. All 3 funds are priced at RM1.00 per unit and there is no commission for buying or selling.
The National Investment Fund (ASNB) is a fund of the National Investment Board (PNB). There are various types of ASNB funds, some are restricted to locals (Bumiputera) and some are open to all nationalities. Some funds have a variable price per unit, while others have a fixed price.
It is recommended that you only purchase ASM, ASM 2 Wawasan and ASM 3 funds, which are often full and therefore require other users to sell their units to be able to purchase them. Thankfully, however, ASNB has launched an online trading system, myASNB, which allows people to buy and sell units through myASNB.
ASM will have its annual closing and dividend announcement on March 31, and ASM 2 Wawasan will be on August 31. As for ASM 3, the annual closing and dividend payment will be made on September 30 of each year. Based on the dividend payment records of previous years, these funds pay at least 4% interest.
