ASN Equity Global has more than 14,000 investors in the two and a half months since its launched and has purchased more than 740 million fund units.
According to a statement issued by the Permodalan Nasional Berhad (PNB), ASN Equity Global has now more than 14,000 investors since its launch on September 1st, 2021. This fund mainly invests in the international stock market.
ASN Equity Global is suitable for investors who can afford high-risk investments, as well as investors who want to obtain capital growth. ASN Equity Global is open to all Malaysian citizens 18 years of age or older. Parents can also invest in children 18 years of age or younger. The annual settlement of ASN Equity Global is on December 31st of each year.
Generally speaking, depositing ASN Equity Global over the counter is subject to a 5% sales fee per unit, while buying online only requires a 2% sales fee. ASNB launched the Digital Investment Week from November 17 to 23, during which time purchases of more than RM1,000 fund units will be exempt from payment of sales fees (Caj Jualan).
If you purchase a floating fund unit with a price of more than RM1,000 from November 17 to 23, 2021, you do not need to pay a sales fee (Caj Jualan). If you buy floating fund units ranging from RM500 to RM1,000, you will only need to pay a 1% sales fee. As for purchasing floating fund units less than RM500, you will not be entitled to the sales fee waiver.
