ASM 2 Wawasan pays 3.75 cents interest!
ASM 2 Wawasan is one of the funds of National Trust (ASNB), a subsidiary of the National Investment Agency (PNB). For the fiscal year ending August 2022, ASM 2 Wawasan pays a dividend of 3.75 sen per unit, which is equivalent to a return of 3.75%.
According to ASNB’s announcement, ASM 2 Wawasan’s total dividend payout was RM882.49 million, benefiting 906,645 investors. This also means that ASM 2 Wawasan paid out more dividends than the net profit earned.
According to ASNB’s announcement, the international and domestic stock markets contributed 37.3% and 36.0% of ASM 2 Wawasan’s revenue respectively. The share of international investments also climbed to 17.8% from 14.9% in 2020.
The FTSE General Index (KLCI) stood at 1,601.38 points on August 31, 2021, compared to 1,500.29 points on August 26 this year.
ASM 2 Wawasan has paid a record low dividend of 6.3 sen in 2016, 6 sen in 2017, 6 sen in 2018, 5 sen in 2019, 4 sen in 2020, 4 sen in 2021 and 3.75 sen in 2022.
The dividend will be automatically reinvested into the fund and the units will be transferred to the holder’s account on September 1. You can check the amount of interest you have received through the MyASNB online account.
