Asian stocks opened generally higher with Malaysian shares up 3.39 points

The majority of Asian stock markets opened higher this morning. However, stocks in China and Singapore were the only ones to close lower. The FTSE Composite Index rose 3.39 points, or 0.23%, to 1456.94 as of 10:26 a.m.

At 10:26 a.m. today, the cyclically adjusted variety index had risen to 1458.77 points, up from its opening level of 1456.94.

821.76 million horse shares are traded at RM 400 million and 5.56 million. Three hundred fifty-five shares went up in price, 258 went down, and 354 didn’t change.

Last week, WCT Holdings (WCT, 9679, Main Board Construction Stock) awarded a condominium construction project to Star Construction (FAJAR, 7047, Main Board Construction Stock) with a value of RM310.54 million.

WCT Holdings’ share price increased by one sen, or 2.3%, to 44.5 sen this morning, while Star Construction fell by 0.5 sen, or 1.72%, to 28.5 sen.

Contrarily, Limpongan Construction (PLS, 9695, Main Board Plantation Stock) recently announced signing an RM429 million joint venture agreement with Japanese firms Millennium Agricultural Technology (MAT) MYFARM and Akar BArat Jaya.

Due to the above reasons, Limpongan Construction’s stock was halted for an entire hour. When trading resumed at 10:00 a.m., the stock price quickly rose after a brief dip, and it was briefly trading at RM1.01 with no ups or downs.
