28% of Malaysian children were fully vaccinated.
As of yesterday, 993,652 children aged five to eleven years had completed the vaccine under the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme For Children (PICKids), accounting for 28 percent of the population.
According to the CovidNow website, 1,596,416 children in this age bracket have gotten at least one dose of the vaccine, accounting for 45 percent.
A total of 2,901,725 adolescents aged 12 to 17 have finished the immunisation, accounting for 93.3 percent of their population, while 2,999,490 have gotten at least one dose, accounting for 96.4 percent.
In the adult population, 16,057,632 people (68.2%) have received the booster shot, while 22,970,424 people (97.6%) have completed two doses of the Covid-19 vaccination and 23,245,673 people (98.8%) have received at least one dose.
A total of 37,536 doses of the Covid-19 vaccine were administered yesterday, with 16,994 being the first dose, 16,459 being the second dose, and 4,083 being the booster dose, bringing the total number of vaccine doses administered under the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme (PICK) to 70,551,572.
Meanwhile, four deaths related to Covid-19 were reported yesterday, according to the Health Ministry’s GitHub page, with two incidents in Perak and one each in Perlis and Selangor.
