Applications for the free tablet program open again, and beneficiaries can get Samsung Galaxy Tab A8!

The Samsung Galaxy Tab A8 LTE will be available for free for those who are enrolled in the Malaysian One College Student Internet Device Program, which reopened on August 1.

 

Through the Malaysia One College Student Internet Device Program, college students from low-income families will receive a tablet computer. All students are eligible to apply, whether they are enrolled in a state or private college. Successful applicants will be notified by email and will receive their tablets in June.

 

The government previously reopened the tender for the tablet and now a Samsung Galaxy Tab A8 tablet is confirmed to be distributed.

 

The Samsung Galaxy Tab A8 is powered by the Unisoc Tiger T618 chip and is available with 3GB+32GB, 4GB+64GB and 4GB+128GB of memory, it is unclear which memory version of the tablet the government is handing out.

 

The tablet has a 10.5-inch screen, a 5MP front-facing selfie camera and an 8MP main camera, and packs a 7040mAh battery and support for 15W charging power.
