Applications for the STR assistance fund are officially open, and eligible people can apply from now on.
According to the information on the Malaysian Ministry of Finance’s assistance website, applications for the 2024 Compassionate Assistance (STR) have been opened from November 1, 2023, and applications will be open throughout the year.
Families with a monthly income not exceeding RM5,000 and single persons with a monthly income not exceeding RM2,500 are eligible to apply. Eligible candidates can visit https://bantuantunai.hasil.gov.my/ to apply.
If you have received government assistance in previous years, as long as you are eligible and your information has not changed, you do not need to apply again or update your information.
In the 2024 STR assistance package, the family group can receive up to RM3,700, while the single group can receive up to RM500.
