On June 6th, at 1:00 a.m. Malaysian time, Apple hosted its annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC 2023).
Aside from new goods, Apple also announced a slew of operating system updates, including iOS 17. Apple updated Siri, AirDrop, FaceTime, and Contacts with iOS 17, and introduced new features such as Live Voice, Name Drop, and Standby Mode.
According to reports, the beta version of iOS 17 will be launched next month, with the official release to all users set for the autumn. iOS 17 is expected to be available on the iPhone 15, as it requires smartphones with an A12 processor or higher. With the introduction of the new system, nine devices will be phased out and will no longer receive update support.
Three iPhones are being phased out of iOS 17:
To upgrade to iOS 17, devices must have an A12 processor or newer. As a result, the iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, and iPhone X will not receive the update.
