Another update on the i-Citra withdrawal of RM10,000!

09/12/2021

There is a new development on the withdrawal of RM10,000 from i-Citra!

According to the news from UMNO chief Datuk Asraf, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri will discuss with Finance Minister Datuk Seri Tunku Zafrul to increase the i-Citra withdrawal amount to RM10,000. Ismail and Asraf discussed the issue of increasing the i-Citra withdrawal amount after the UMNO Supreme Council meeting.

Many people have to start a new life after the operation control order, but they are facing many problems, some have been fired, some have had their salaries reduced or are on unpaid leave. Many people have also fallen into significant debt during the period of the MRO and are in desperate need of funds.

The UMNO suggested that the government could introduce a final CPF withdrawal scheme to allow those in genuine need to apply, and only for those who have sufficient balance to apply.

Previously, the UMNO, former Prime Minister Najib and UMNO President Ahmad Zahi had requested the CPF Board to allow members to withdraw RM10,000 in one go.

In November, former Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib posted on Facebook and tagged Finance Minister Tunku Zafrul to request the Ministry of Finance to increase the withdrawal of i-Citra to RM10,000 as soon as possible.

However, the Employees Provident Fund Board (KWSP) said i-Lestari, i-Sinar and i-Citra are all one-time withdrawal schemes introduced in response to the epidemic. After the end of these schemes, the board will not launch similar withdrawal schemes.
